With an extensive musical background, Pattie has been a musician her entire life. At the age of four, she started Suzuki violin lessons in Greenville, North Carolina studying with renowned Suzuki teachers such as Joanne Bath, one of the first violinists to bring the Suzuki Method to America. In May 2006, she received her undergraduate degree in Violin Performance from East Carolina University. Her violin study was with Ara Gregorian.
Pattie has made special appearances at a variety of music festivals including Ocrafolk Festival, Preddy Fest Bluegrass festival, R.A. Fountain General Store, the Bluegrass Train weekly television show, The Biltmore Estate, White Oak Shores Bluegrass Festival, Bolsom Mountain Bluegrass Festival, Raymond Fairchild Theatre, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Benefit Concert, the Martin County Courthouse Restoration Benefit Concert and the Eastern North Carolina Bluegrass Association Music Festival.
Pattie has also shared stages with renowned musicians such as Jeff Bates, Percy Sledge, Lorrie Morgan, Delbert McClinton, Ronnie Milsap, Leon Russell, John Anderson, The Oak Ridge Boys, B.J. Thomas, Ray Price, Sammy Kershaw, Charlie Daniels Band, California Transit Authority, .38 Special, Tracy Lawrence, Ralph Stanley, Mountain Heart, Doug Stone, Earl Thomas Conley, 1964: Beatles Tribute Band, Ronnie McDowell, Blood Sweat & Tears, Chuck Negron, George Hamilton IV and Bill Anderson.
